CASE Study #145

The month Lisa Spangler is the Muse at CASE Study.
I have been a fan of Lisa's for a long time when I first discovered her through the Hero Arts blog.
Here is the fabulous card we studied this week.

I stamped a large pattern on cream cardstock and embossed in white and then sponged with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.

Cardstock:  Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink)
Stamps: Design Block - Stencil (Hero Arts) Flower Friends (Simon Says Stamps) Beautiful Butterflies (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Dark Chocolate(Papertrey Ink) Soft Cantaloupe Mid Tone (Hero Arts) Shabby Shutters (Ranger) VersaMark (Tsukineko)
other: cork, foam tape, white embossing powder

This is so amazingly beautiful. Your white embossing is so pretty and serene, and I love the look of that sponged ink. Something about butterflies makes them perfect for all sorts of soothing cards.

Tracey...wow, your card is just stunning! So soft and sweet but that butterfly seems to set the tone of your card, like Joyce said, serene. I am going to have give this a try too. Just gorgeous!

Another great idea! Having the shading go from white to color is so interesting! And perfect for a sympathy card.
