Welcome to My Nightmare - September '15

Can you believe that it is the last day of September and time for another installment of the 12 Kit of Occasions!

Jessica is our hostess this month for always fun Halloween kit. Contrary to the title this month Jessica's kit was everything cute!  I could have easily made 5 more cards.

How can it be that I am so sad that my light tent is still MIA. So sorry that my pictures are overexposed and grainy.  It doesn't matter how good your camera is, without good lighting that is what you get. Now onto what you came for.

I will start with my favourite card, as soon as I saw the mummy wrap I couldn't wait to use it and combined with the eye patch--so fun!

Followed by my favourite paper!

Awesome spooky silhouette, and yes there is a coating of the illusive Wink of Stella all over the ghost...

Yummy Crushed Curry cardstock--grr...camera!

We won't be getting any trick-o-treaters in our new home, we are that far out of the town. After 250 little goblins last Halloween we don't need to buy (as much) candy this year. I will be sending some treat bags up to school for my goblins though so here are a couple packaging ideas.

I hope you get over to the 12 Kit blog to see what the rest of the team has om store for you today!

CCC #166

It's time for a new Cue Card at CASology!
This week's Cue is:

My science this week is marine biology--lol I sponged some Salty Ocean Distress Ink in the bottom corner of my card front. Then I stamped some seaweed over the water and popped up the fishie stamped with coral ink. I balanced the design by putting the sentiment in the opposite corner of the card front.

What kind of science are you going to use for your card this week?

RetroSketches #183

Happy Saturday!

It's time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!
This week our sketch is inspired by an adorable card that Arielle previously posted. My theme is inspired by Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I missed the summer hop because we were in the throws of buying, selling and moving but I didn't want to let this one go by without playing. My technique is inspired by Anita Bowden's gorgeous card over at MUSE this week, I went with the technique of embossing, her circles and pastel colour palette.

Yesterday I told you that I still haven't located one of the boxes from my craft room. In that box is my Papertrey Ink Drips & Dribbles stamp set which I wanted to use for my card. So I thought outside the box and grabbed a coffee cup from the kitchen and some kraft ink--wala coffee spills!

I am also linking this up to Time Out Challenges #40 which is to case my card as a reminder there is still time to play along.

Hope to see you join us at RetroSketches this week.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tag You're It #31

Happy Friday and time for a new challenge over at Tag You're it!
I hope you play along with us this week, the design team has created some fabulous inspiration for you.

Jeanne is our hostess this challenge and she created a gorgeous, vibrant tag. She has such a way with bold designs.  When I CASE'd her tag I first used some Distress Inks to sponge a piece of white cardstock, then I die cut my leaf from it. The tag panel was spritzed with gold spray ink and I die cut the sentiment using metallic gold cardstock. I popped the leaf up with some foam tape.

I still haven't located my light tent, but I do know it is in a box with all of my Stampin' Up inks, about 10 unopened stamp sets and my baby wipes! I personally have looked at every box in the basement but I am sure they are in one of them, probably mislabeled. It will turn up I'm sure--but when.

I had a new visitor on my patio to the 100 Acre Woods yesterday, he was so tame he let me come outside to take picture of him. He or she must have stayed there for a  half hour enjoying the sun!

I am also submitting this to the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge  No Patterned Paper challenge!

Have a wonderful weekend!

CCC #165

It's time for a new Cue Card at CASology!
This week's Cue is:

I played around with so many ideas for this cue, but finally settled with the roundabout stamp set from Reverse Confetti. I stamped my background first in pastel colours and then my sentiment in a bright to make it pop.  I finished it off with a few tiny clear sequins for a bit of sparkle. Do you have a favourite colour or size of sequin? I love clear sequins and I tend to go for the 4mm sequins more than the 6mm.
