My Favorite Things 2018 Stamping Olympics - Speed Cardmaking

tracey_olympevent4cover

Two final cards for the MFT 2018 Creative Olympics Speed Carmaking finale!
Down to the wire with the challenges I didn't get this card down before the event closed, but I did get not one but two cards made for it in under 20 minutes!

I started by stamping and white embossing a Bristol Smooth panel, then I sponged it with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. The next step was to cut it out with the large celebrate die and then I was able to inlay two cards using up the positive and negatives from the two die cuts.

Version two using the negative die cuts!

1:32 sec left, even after I lost the inside piece of the R in the black card base version and had to recut! Funny that I was so sure I would be able to get this card done easily in under 20 minutes, but under pressure you end up making all kinds of mistakes!

My Favorite Things 2018 Stamping Olympics - Crafty Biathalon

One for the Crafty Biathlon. I finally used my MFT Stamps Gift Card Grooves. I used the Coffee Break and Coffee Date stamp sets for my card. The front of my 4 bar card was done in emboss resist with Distress Oxide Inks. The inside of the card used the grooves die to make a home for a gift card.

My Favorite Things 2018 Stamping Olympics - Freestyle Card

Another card for the MFT 2018 Creative Olympics - Freestyle Card, this one is for Event 2 to create a Freestyle card using any MFT products but with a winter theme.

I white embossed a snowflake background and sponged it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, distressed it with water and flicked Copic Opaque White onto the panel. I finished it of with a white embossed sentiment and deer image from the Deer Friends stamp set!

Jillibean Soup Creativation 2018 Projects

Today I have a couple cards up on the Jillibean Soup Bean Talk blog that were also on display in the booth at this years Creativation show. I really enjoy using the versatile products from Jillibean, there are so many options from making a quick clean and simple card to using the fun Shape Shakers series to easily make fun shaker cards!

This month the designers were challenged to make card that conveyed love, so easy to do with Jillibean Soup!

tracey_30DayFeb13cover

Well we did it, here we are at day 30 of Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge!
It was such a fun event and colouring along with Ardyth, we made it to the finish line.
Thank you Kathy for creating an event that is so much fun to play along with.

Today we coloured Catherine Pooler's Doodle Garden background stamp.
I stamped and white embossed the design and then sponged it with Distress Inks, fun and vibrant.

Muse #253 and the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

tracey_Muse253cover

It's time for Muse Challenge #253!

The background was created ink blending Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks then I flicked water on it and pulled some of the colour off with a paper towel. The final step for the background was to flick some watered down Copic Opaque White on to the panel. The image from Studio Katia's Winter Kobi was watercoloured with Distress Inks. I added in watercoloured heart for Kobi to give to his Valentine and added a sentiment white embossing on black!

30 Day Coloring Challenge February 11

tracey_30DayFeb11cover

Almost to the end of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge with Kathy Racoosin, it's Day 28 today!
I used the My Favorite Things Coffee Date and Coffee Break stamps today for my card. I stamped the mirror image of the coffee cup so I had one for my friend. I used my MISTI and followed instructions by Jennifer McGuire from this video here. It took a few tries to get it right but seriously what a brilliant idea! One they were stamped and clear embossed I used my Scan N Cut to cut the images out, see my short video below.

30 Day Coloring Challenge Feb 10

tracey_30DayFeb10cover

Happy snowy Saturday!

Today I am using Simon Says Stamp Christmas Town for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge with Katy Racoosin. I stamped and clear embossed my images on Bristol Smooth and then cut them out with my Scan N Cut. Distress Inks were used to watercolor the images. Finally I created a snow bank and  used Stickles and crystal glitter to add some snow to the top of the snow bank and added it to the card base with foam tape.
