The 12 Kits of Occasions - March '18

Can you believe that it is the last day of March? As much as I am not a fan of winter, this year is already going fast. Being the last day of the month that means it is time for another installment of The 12 Kits of Occasions! This month sweet Jessica Davis of the Paper Parade is our hostess and she sent us all a kit full of sweet die cut images and lots of sentiments to say thank you. I seem to always be in need of thank you cards and this kit couldn't have come at a better time. I made five cards this month and as usual I have lots leftover to make even more. So lets get on with the show...

I used CAS(E) this Sketch #265 for the following card!

For the next card I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #330

As always a shot of the whole group...

I will be submitting all of these cards to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Please head over to The 12 Kits of Occasions blog if you haven't been there yet to see what the rest of the designers have done with this beautiful kit!

Wishing you a very Happy Easter!

Reverse Confetti SFYTT #58

I have a card for this month's Reverse Confetti Sketch for You To Try #61. It might be wishful thinking at this point to even think of fresh strawberries growing in my snow covered garden but it will come soon enough--I hope.

I started off by sponging two panels of Bristol cardstock with Abandoned Coral and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks. Then I cut the berries and the stems using the co-ordinating Confetti Cuts. I added the sentiment to a Lacy Scallop circle die cut and then built my scene. The centre of the tiny white flower was made with Mustard Seed Stickles.

Thanks for dropping in today and I hope the sun is shining where you are.

MFT Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge # 376

tracey_MFT#376cover

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend now that the days are getting longer and spring is getting closer!

I have  a card I made for a dear friend who lost her fur baby recently. When we let a pet into our hearts they become a part of our family and the loss we feel when we lose them is profound. I made a card using this week's MFT Stamps Wednesday Sketch #376.

My Weekend Stamping Away

A few weekends ago I went to a crafting retreat and made a record 17 cards! For me that is big, usually on retreats and crafty get together's I am too busy being social and don't come home with much of anything done--lol! Over the past week and the week's to come I am going to share some of these projects. A lot of them were from shoebox swaps, they are so much fun. Basically each person participating designs a card and then puts all the supplies to make that card into a box. Then over the course of the retreat you take a box and recreate the card! We had so many participants this time and what fantastic designs too.  Here are a few that I did, designs created by these super talented friends!

Shoebox swap card by Lisa Petrella.

Shoebox swap card by Jen Timko.

Shoebox swap cad by Laurie Willison.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
